When you call us to set up a shop-at-home appointment, we’re going to ask you for details about your planned project. The will include:
- What room(s) are you redecorating? What flooring is there now?
- What type of flooring would you prefer to use?
- What colors and textures, appeal to you? Describe your ideal floor.
- How is the room used? How much traffic is there in the room?
- About what size is the room?
- Will your new floor have to complement the other floors in your home?
- Does anyone in your house have asthma or allergies
- Have you been considering a heated floor?
- How much time are you expecting to spend caring for your new floor?
- How is your home heated and cooled? Do you use any dehumidifiers?
- Can you e-mail us some photos of the flooring and décor that you prefer?
The first thing that we request is that you confirm the appointment the day before it’s actually scheduled. Upon arrival, our design specialist will discuss what you need on your new floor, have a look at the available space and accurately measure it. Second, she will bring in a complete selection of flooring product options. Together, you will determine your primary choices. Your designer will also leave these samples in the room so you can check out how they look during different times of the day and allow you the time to get your family’s opinions.
Once you have chosen your top new flooring choices, we will provide you with cost estimates for each type of flooring product. You’ll find that our shop-at-home service is an effective and convenient way to plan a new flooring project that will make your home even more comfortable.
